Acceleration of Staining Project

Hello Homeowners - when we originally bid out the Staining Project we considered that it might take 4 years to complete - primarily due to funding issues. As it turned out the pricing and performance offered by Oliver have permitted us to greatly accelerate the time line. So much so that we might be able to get into at least part of Phase III this year.

By next week (July 18) we will be finished with Phase I and beginning Phase II. The current schedule looks like this:

The Project Phases:

Phase I (May - July 18 2008): Units 11- 28 and 65-68 and 127-130B (please note that Units 25-28 and 130B have been moved to the end of Phase II and Units 43-46 have been put in Phase I)

Phase II (July 15 - October 1, 2008) Units 47-50 and 79-90 and 109-126 and 25-28 and 130B

BHHOA GENERAL HOMEOWNER'S MEETING - JUNE 1st

General Homeowner's Meeting:

Sunday June 1st

(the fire house has another function in the morning, so we could not start our meeting until 1:00 pm)

Oliver Painting has Started Fawn Court

We have selected Oliver Painting as our Contractor.

We had 9 companies bid
2 were rejected for being late and sent back unopened.
3 did not have a bid bond
1 was a no bid/incomplete bid
3 were valid bids and out of these two were interviewed.

Based on the bid materials, price, past performance, reference checks and their presentation Oliver Painting was selected and in early May the Association entered into contract with them to complete Phase I and then move on the Phase II once Phase I is completed!

And in spite of the rain, Oliver Painting has started work on Fawn Court...
They have 6 employees on the project and the Company's owner Joe Oliver. They have two lift trucks that they will be using to assist in their work (weather permitting).

Staining Project Phases I through IV

We will be beginning the Staining Project in May. If all goes well we will be able to complete two Phases this year and the two next year to complete the overall project in Two Years.

BH Homeowners Meeting - March 9th, 2008
